Welcome to Fauora Conservation Initiative
We empower youth and women across Uganda and Africa to lead the movement for conservation, creating thriving communities and a resilient natural world for generations to come.
Our Story
Crafting Gardens & Landscapes with Expertise and Care
The idea for Faunora Conservation Initiatives (FCI) was born from a moment of crisis and hope. In 2016, Ambrose Felix Omodo witnessed how erratic rainfall and prolonged droughts devastated crops and livelihoods in his rural Ugandan community. Forests that once sheltered wildlife and sustained families were disappearing, leaving the land dry and lifeless.
Seeing the connection between climate change, deforestation, and community hardship, Ambrose realized that youth must lead the solution. In 2025, he founded FCI to empower young people and women to restore nature, build resilience, and create sustainable livelihoods.
What began as a small forest restoration effort has grown into a national platform for youth-led climate action tackling challenges like deforestation, waste pollution, climate-smart agriculture, and renewable energy access. Every tree planted and every youth trained reflects FCI’s vision: to heal the land, uplift communities, and shape a nature-positive future.
